Call for Peer Reviewers

Ars æqui invites applications from qualified scholars and practitioners interested in joining the journal’s international peer-review network.

We are particularly seeking reviewers with expertise in the following fields:

  • Labour Law

  • Public International Law

  • Private International Law

  • Data Protection and Privacy

  • Criminal Law

  • Law and Technology

  • Intellectual Property Law

  • Business Law

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • PhD (or equivalent qualification) in Law;

  • Full command of academic English;

  • Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is considered an advantage.

We particularly encourage applications from scholars affiliated with higher education or research institutions outside Romania.

Reviewer participation is continuous, and invitations to assess submissions are issued according to subject matter and expertise matching.

Recognition of Reviewing Activity

Peer reviewers play an essential role in maintaining the quality, rigor, and integrity of academic publishing. In recognition of their contribution, Ars æqui is committed to providing formal acknowledgment in an annual list published on the journal’s website, priority consideration for future editorial roles, as well as certificates or letters of recognition issued upon request.

About the Journal

Ars æqui is a peer-reviewed journal of the Faculty of Law and Administrative Sciences, Ovidius University of Constanța, Romania. The journal publishes original, high-quality contributions from scholars and practitioners on contemporary issues of legal doctrine and practice, alongside case law commentaries and book reviews. The journal aims to advance understanding of how law and governance shape, and are shaped by, society across Romania, the broader Central and Eastern European region, and beyond.

Ars æqui is abstracted and indexed in CEEOL, EBSCO, and HeinOnline.
